The challenge
Survey tools are transactional: you fill one in and leave. Social platforms have the engagement but treat polls as a novelty feature. The brief was to make surveys the primary content type of a complete social network, which meant feeds, a social graph, and a discovery system strong enough to bring people back.
What we did
- Built the social layer on Laravel and Vue.js: profiles, following, feeds, likes, reactions, comments and replies.
- Developed the survey and polling system across the full lifecycle, from creation and publishing to participation, response collection and results.
- Built an AI recommendation engine reading interest, participation, voting and engagement signals.
- Created a personalised feed blending followed users, trending content and AI recommendations.
- Implemented response aggregation and analytics so creators can read what their results actually say.
