Caledonia Solar delivers commercial solar PV for businesses across Scotland. We took an unfinished WordPress build to launch and extended it with a six-step financial calculator, regional and sector landing pages, and lead capture that feeds the client's own database.

The challenge
Caledonia Solar came to us with a WordPress site that was partly built against a detailed technical specification but not ready to go live. The calculator had to follow the client's own financial model, the regional and sector pages had to pass a strict page-speed gate, and every lead had to reach both WordPress and the client's Supabase database. The client runs independent crawls and PageSpeed tests, so every fix had to hold up to outside checking.
What we did
- Audited the existing build against the client's technical and calculator specifications, then made targeted fixes on the live site rather than rebuilding it.
- Built a six-step financial calculator that sizes the system from postcode yield and sector self-consumption, then returns payback, a low, mid and high IRR range and a 25-year net benefit.
- Modelled CapEx purchase, solar PPA and asset finance side by side, with a lead gate in front of the full financial report.
- Completed 12 Scottish regional pages and 9 sector pages, and reworked the hero templates for mobile performance.
- Wired dual lead capture into WordPress and the client's Supabase database, and built the Google Tag Manager container behind GA4 lead tracking.
